지난 9월 11일(금), 자카르타한국학교(교장 이문성)에서 초등 4~6학년 각 반 회장 10명과 전교 학생회장, 부회장이 참석한 가운데 ‘2026학년도 2학기 초등 학생회 리더십 캠프’가 열렸다.

이번 캠프는 임원 선서 및 임명장 수여식으로 문을 열었다. 참가 학생들은 리더로서의 책임과 봉사 자세를 다짐하며 임명장을 받았고, 이어서 교감선생님의 격려 말씀이 진행되었다. 이문성 교장선생님은 “참된 리더십은 홀로 앞서 나가는 것이 아니라 친구들의 목소리에 귀 기울이고 함께 걸어가는 것”이라며 학생 임원들을 따뜻하게 응원했다.

이어 진행된 협동 게임 프로그램에서는 팀원 간 서로 소통하고 힘을 모으는 과정을 통해 협동의 중요성과 훌륭한 리더가 갖춰야 할 덕목을 몸소 체득하는 시간을 가졌다.

마지막 순서로 2학기 학생자치회 주관 활동을 선정하기 위한 토의 시간이 열렸다. 학생들은 각 학급의 의견을 모아 2학기 동안 추진할 자치 활동 아이디어를 적극적으로 개진하며 실천적인 운영 방안을 모색했다.

캠프에 참여한 전교 학생회장은 “협동 게임을 하면서 혼자보다 함께일 때 더 큰 힘을 낼 수 있다는 걸 배웠고, 2학기 학생회를 멋지게 이끌 자신감이 생겼다”라고 소감을 밝혔다. 5학년 학급 회장 학생 역시 “우리 손으로 직접 2학기 활동을 기획해 뜻깊었으며, 반 친구들의 의견을 잘 경청하는 겸손한 리더가 되겠다”라며 포부를 전했다.

이번 리더십 캠프를 시작으로, 2학기에도 학생자치회가 중심이 되어 더욱 활기차고 주도적인 학교 문화를 만들어 갈 것으로 기대된다.

On Friday, September 11, Jakarta Intercultural Korean School (Principal Lee Moon-seong) held the ‘2026 2nd Semester Elementary Student Council Leadership Camp’ with 10 class presidents from grades 4 to 6, as well as the student council president and vice president in attendance.

The camp began with an oath-taking ceremony and the presentation of appointment certificates. Participating students pledged to serve with responsibility and dedication as leaders. Following the presentation, Vice Principal Jeon Sang-woo delivered an encouraging address, reminding the student leaders, “True leadership is not about standing far ahead alone, but about listening to your peers and walking together.”

Next, students participated in team-building games where they experienced firsthand the importance of cooperation and essential leadership virtues through communication and teamwork.

The final segment was a group discussion to determine activities to be led by the student council during the second semester. Students actively shared ideas gathered from their respective classes and explored practical ways to put them into action.

The student council president shared, “Through the team games, I learned that we can achieve much more together than alone, and I gained confidence to lead the student council well this semester.” A 5th-grade class president also expressed their enthusiasm, saying, “It was meaningful to plan our semester activities with our own hands, and I will strive to be a humble leader who truly listens to my classmates.”

Starting with this leadership camp, the student council is expected to take the initiative in building an even more active and vibrant school culture throughout the second semester.
