JIKS Swimming Competition Celebrates Skill, Determination, and Sportsmanship
The 2026 JIKS Swimming Competition brought excitement and energy to the JIKS swimming pool on Friday, June 5, 2026, as students from Grades 1 to 6 competed in a series of swimming events. The event began with an inspirational message from the school Principal, Mr. Lee Mun Sung, who encouraged students to do their best, enjoy the competition, and demonstrate excellent sportsmanship. A total of 33 events were held, featuring freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly races. Grade 1 and Grade 2 students competed in 25-metre events, while students in Grades 3 to 6 swam 50-metre races in freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke. Butterfly events were contested over 25 metres for all grade levels. The competition showcased the swimmers’ dedication and growing confidence in the water, with many exciting races and impressive performances.

Many students participated in one to three events, giving them multiple opportunities to challenge themselves and represent their grade levels. Several swimmers delivered outstanding performances and earned multiple medals. In total, 97 medals were awarded to winners across all events, recognizing their hard work and success. To honor the efforts of every participant, certificates will be given to both winners and non-winners in recognition of their commitment, hard work, and participation throughout the competition. With enthusiastic support from teachers, parents, and fellow students, the event was a memorable occasion that highlighted the talent, determination, and competitive spirit of JIKS swimmers.
